Ponderosa Country traditional barn kits are custom cut from local, native
woods. Our historic designs, full dimension, rough cut lumber,
and the strength of post and beam construction combine to create
the authenticity found in both our 1 story and 1 ½ story
Ponderosa Country Barns. These barns were designed to have the
rustic look and feel of the traditional barns of the hardy Great
Plains Pioneers, while adapting beautifully to today’s country
life style.
These
Ponderosa Country Barn features an even-pitched roof and traditional
style with 6x6 post and beams, and 6x8 tie beams and rafters.
Once a familiar sight on the Great Plains, the strong simple lines
of a Ponderosa Country Barn belong in the wide open spaces.

The 1 story Ponderosa Country Barn features rugged construction
and is both practical and versatile. Whether your need is for a
horse barn, hobby barn, workshop or garage, its uses are limited
only by your imagination. Available in sizes from 18’x20’
to 24’x70’, the 1 story Ponderosa Country traditional barn kit can be
enhanced by the addition of a lean-to to create that perfect separate
workshop, horse stall or hobby area.
Our 1 ½ story Ponderosa Country Barn is the perfect fit for
the gentleman farmer and is a customer favorite. With its full loft
and heavy duty stairs, there is plenty of room to store hay or create
a personal haven. It is available in sizes ranging from 20’x20’
to 24’x70’. With the addition of an optional lean-to (or
one on each side), and even a widow’s peak, the 1 ½
story Ponderosa Country traditional barn kit gives an impressive, even soaring silhouette.

you choose a 1 story or 1 ½ story Ponderosa Country Barn kit please
consider our unique doors, windows, cupolas and other accessories which
are all custom-made and handcrafted from the same full dimension, rough
cut wood. While each standard barn kit includes a walk-out door and
standard windows, most of our customers choose to create their own special
look with the addition of lean-to’s, open lean-to’s or accessories.
